Wallpaper in Bathroom - yay or nay?
I wanted to do something like this - but unsure of wallpaper in a bathroom. I've added a pic of my bathroom also - do you think a pattern like this would look good or is too overwhelming?

ITA. My parents bought a house and both bathrooms were wallpapered and peeling. The wallpaper didnt even look that old either...

YAY!! Get a good exhaust fan though. I have wallpaper in 2 out of 3 of our bathrooms and love it! I one with a damask print on my lower level with wainscotting that everyone always comments on when they visit. I think that particular print is elegant!

i love the wallpaper! i think it has to be hung really well and it will be fine. our bathrooms are wallpapered and we have no peeling issues or anything.

I love wallpaper, I think it is coming back in fashion. But I agree you would need a great exhaust fan.

I'm not a fan of wallpaper to start with, I don't like the commitment, LOL. But definitely NOT in the bathroom, too much humidity as pp said.

YAY!! I love it! If you look at pictures of an high end bathroom in magazines etc. they are all being shown with wallpaper now. I think it looks much more "decorated".
I recently remodeled our powder room and wall papered it an am in LOVE with the results

I think it would look fabulous in your bathroom!! If hung properly you shouldn't have an issue w/ humidity. Just make sure the shower curtain is pulled correctly to avoid getting that edge wet - that is where it will start to peel.

I wallpapered my parents bathroom about 7 years ago. I am no professional and there is NO issue thus far. It was prepasted PLUS I used adhesive for prepasted wallpaper. They also have a good exhaust fan.
That paper is beautiful and I would soooo do it!

I like that alot.
I also like a white paintable wallpaper. Just so your walls have a design/texture, and you can choose the color.

I have wallpaper in both the bathrooms of my former house that's been up for over 15 years now (my ex-husband still lives there) and there is no issue with it peeling or coming apart at seams. I say go for it!

I think that's a beautiful paper and would look great in your bathroom.
The apartment I grew up in had wallpaper in the bathroom and we lived there for 16 years with no issues. I'd say to make sure you open the window and door after showering, but you probably do that anyway to prevent mold / mildew buildup. Go for it!

I love it especially in your bathroom
I have wallpapered TONS of bathrooms and its not usual for it to peel unless you don't have a bathroom fan.
Have it professionally installed so they use the right glue for a bathroom and you won't have a single issue

I say nay. The house we bought had wallpaper in the bathroom (and a fan) and it did peel in spots and was discolored in others.

We had wallpaper in my bathroom in my childhood home & it never peeled or discolored. We had a fan & always kept the window open.
I say YAY! If done right, I really like wallpaper.

I would use a wallpaper stencil instead ... the look of wallpaper without having to install and one day perhaps remove
