Wallpaper Removal Pls. Recommend Your Favorite Product

Aren't closing til the summer but know that the first project I'll be working on is taking down the 1960's wallpaper. Please recommend the products you found to be best for taking down wallpaper. TIA!

Me too, only be careful when scoring the wallpaper because if you press too hard you will leave little track marks in the drywall.

Same here. We had several rooms with wallpaper. We had to spray a lot of DIF on so that it was saturated, then scrape. In some of the rooms we just used really warm water and a sponge and that worked really well too. Make sure you score the paper enough so whatever you use soaks through. Good luck!

It all depends on the adhesive.

I've had everything come off easy...everything, but glue comes off...and the back paper doesn't come off at all.

I had to rent a steamer for the last one!

I used those too and it was still a nightmare. We finally rented a steamer from Home Depot and even that was a hassle. Wallpaper is horribleeeee Chat Icon
