was anyone watching the press conference on Ch 12 news wiht Steve LEvey?
Did the Brookhaven town supervisor say mandatory evacuations for Blue Point and Patchogue south of Montauk and Main Street tomorrow???

I heard something about evacuations for "Patchogue south of Main Street" only because I have a co-worker that lives one block north.
I don't remember if there was anything for Blue Point.
Do you have a town website on the patch.com? Maybe try there or the Brookhaven site.

It's mandatory. This is from the brookhaven site.
A mandatory evacuation of the following areas of the Town of Brookhaven as of 8am tomorrow morning:
Blue Point, South of Montauk Highway
Patchogue, South of Main Street
East Patchogue, South of Main Street east to the intersection of South Country Road and then south of South Country Road
Bellport, South of South Country Road
Hamlet of Brookhaven, South of South Country Road
Shirley, South of Golden Gate / Neighborhood Road
Mastic Beach Village
Moriches, South of Main Street
Center Moriches, South of Main Street
Cedar Beach Peninsula, Mt. Sinai
East Moriches, South of East Moriches Blvd, Newport Beach Community

Parts of Brookhaven are under a mandatory evacuation order starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, the Brookhaven Town supervisor said Friday.
Brookhaven Town Supervisor Mark Lesko signed an executive order on the evacuations Friday, he said at a news conference with County Executive Steve Levy.
The areas to be evacuated are:
Blue Point south of Montauk Highway
Patchogue south of Main Street
East Patchogue south of Main Street east to the intersection
Bellport south of South Country Road
Brookhaven hamlet south of South Country Road
Shirley south of Golden Gate/ Neighborhood Road
Mastic Beach Village
Moriches south of Main Street
Center Moriches south of Main Street
Cedar Beach peninsula in Mount Sinai
East Moriches south of East Moriches Boulevard in the Newport Beach community
In addition, Lesko called for voluntary evacuation of all waterfront and low-lying North Shore areas in Brookhaven.
Levy said more evacuations may be ordered in low-lying areas. "We're still determining what areas will be evacuated," he said. "Those decisions will be made on a town-by-town basis."

I just got the call from Brookhaven about it. Gives the info you gave specific to your area. For me it talked about the Miller Place and Mount Sinai locations and added that anyone in north shore low lying areas are under voluntary evacuation. I'm sure it has info for south shore people too.
