Re: Was your GPS ever totally wrong?
My DH has one but I don't like using it, I think it is frequently wrong, it doesn't take the most direct route either.

Well, this isn't so bad BUT when I was coming home from the Bronx Zoo it couldn't tell if I was ON the highway or ON the service road. We drove in three big circles before we realized that we were supposed to be getting ON the highway.
We had that problem ( but in reverse) in Philadelphia. We were on some sort of highway type road, and there was a city street parrallel, but elevated, that we were supposed to be on. It kept telling us to turn onto numbered streets, but we couldn't b/c we were on a highway!

My GPS can't pronounce my name, though....
That's my favorite part of the GPS--listening to how it pronounces things--especially Wantagh.
And it 'thinks' the abbreviation Co. Always stands for Company, not County so it tells us to drive on the Cross Company parkway

Re: Was your GPS ever totally wrong?
Mine brought me to the complete opposite side of 25A from where I needed to be. I was looking for a doctors office and it kept bringing me to a bank. It insisted that was the address I was looking for. I finally found my way, but still, it was frustrating.

Mine sometimes confuses "Drive" with "Doctor" because of the abbreviation. I still laugh at that!

Re: Was your GPS ever totally wrong?
My MIL's Nissan GPS was totally off. While we were in NY visiting we borrowed her Murano to go to my aunts new house put in all the info and it took us to the same name street but in a different part of Islip. I was like WTH? I put Central Islip in so I had no clue why it went to regular Islip.
Also I have issues with mine it says right when we are to turn to go turn not like a 1/2 mile away so we have to be on our toes. It is annoying epecially when we are in an area we don't know.
