Washer and dryers?

Do expensive ones really work better then less expensive washer and dryers.
I want the LG duets, but my inlaws where willing to buy us less expensive ones. Though a good brand like whirlpool.
WHat do you think?
Should I go with free less expensive ones, or me and DH buy the duets?

Re: Washer and dryers?

I dont know about the Duets but if you really want them, could your ILs give you the $ they would have spent on a regular set and you and DH can put in the difference?

More expensive does not mean "Better".

We are researching appliances right now and so far we like LG (refrigerator) but an appliance guy my dad knows said do not purchase LG since, when he was trying to carry the line, he could never track down who services LG. We are probably STILL buying the LG refrigerator but with an extended warranty Chat Icon

I'd personally take free Chat Icon

I don't think more expensive equals better too....we have Kenmore Elite front loading washer and dryer and they are great...they actually make laundry enjoyable.

this is what the washer and dryer look like

Re: Washer and dryers?

The biggest difference b/w our old washer, and our new one, the Whirlpool Duet, is that it spins the clothing so well that it saves so much drying time. The clothes actually do appear cleaner overall.
