Washing machine related - Is it worth it?
We've had our Kenmore portable washing machine for the past 5 years and just up until recently it started to leak and sometimes it won't spin and at other times it tries to spin and a burning rubber smell comes out of it Anyway, its been a little over 5 years so our extended warranty has expired.
Do you think its worth it to get a technician in for appx. $65 to see whats wrong with it? Someone has told me that its probably a drum and that it can run me appx. $300 to get it fixed, if thats the case then I might as well get a new one, they run around $500...I don't know what to do. I can't use it now. And baby laundry is piling up!
Thanks

it could be the band around the drum. I think that if its only $65 for him to come in to check and that IS the problem, it should be like $100 to fix. So figure $165 is better than going out and spending hundreds and hundreds more!
