Any suggestions? We have tours of the White House and Capital set up, and plan to do the Smithsonians and do a lot of walking. Any other suggestions?

How did you set up a tour of the White House? Going to DC in December and would like to do this.
I think I am going to do those bus tours (not renting a car). You get to see a lot and I think you can hop on/off in different spots.

I called Carolyn McCarthy's office (my congress person) in Washington and they set it up. Call ASAP, because they fill up quickly.

I am going down tomorrow and was looking for suggestions!
We are considering the zoo - I am just worried that it might be too cold to walk around. Other thought was the air and space museum.

check out the air and space museum. they have the most awesome flight simulators. but you have to get there first thing when they open, if not, the wait times are unbelievable!!!!!! i don't know how old your kids are, but if they are old enough to go on the simulators, they are amazing!
the museum itself is pretty cool!

Thanks - no chance we can get there first thing, and my kids are too young anyway - they are 6 months and 2 1/2.
I wanted to do the aquarium in Baltimore but it would cost $70!

The zoo is beautiful. I think there's also a spy museum in DC that's supposed to be nice.
