We went with a 2 1/2 yr old DD and there wasnt much water stuff for her- Counts castle was CRAZY crowded and the slides were way bigger than she could handle.
There were some smaller splash around areas but not alot

We took DS when he was 17m and then again when he was 2.5yo. We spent the majority of the time in the water areas. There is plenty for a toddler to do. DS especially loved the ernie area.

Re: Water activities at sesame place
The first time I went, my son was exactly 18 months - to the day and he had a ball. The little tidal pool entertained him for hours, plus we went on the rambling river, saw shows, ate/napped, watched the parade and before we knew it the day was over. I was a little nervous that other kids would knock him down but I just stayed uber-on top of him and found that most parents were pretty aware of him and were telling their kids to steer clear. I heard a lot of "watch out for the baby"! We had a ball. You should definitely go.
