"We felt bad about the non-specific pronoun..."
HI girlies, this is from my favorite shopping blog BUNNYSHOP -- they do great "down to earth" blogging on fashion/shopping and are hilarious. Not much maternity related stuff on there, but here's one from today- a reader question with their funny reply below: *********** Dear BS, I'm hoping you can help me find comfortable, yet stylish, clothes to wear during my pregnancy (especially the early months, when I don't need traditional maternity wear).
Right now I'm 6 weeks pregnant and my belly button hurts all the time (weird, I know), so this rules out anything without a drawstring waistband, which is sort of horrifying. [EXCERPT] Any advice on how I can get through these months until I can wear maternity clothes without spending too much money? And after that, do any stores sell cute, reasonably priced maternity clothes? I have no experience in this area.
ANSWER: Oh! So we were in a Starbucks in Dubai this weekend, and this little blond kid took a tumble—not a bad one, more like I'm-going-to-somersault-at-Starbucks-and-then-lie-flat-on-the-floor—and the guy at the cash register was like, "Are you going to deal with that?" And we were all shruggy-shoulders and, "It's not mine." We felt bad about that non-specific pronoun later.
We have emailed a few of our baby-making besties (that is perhaps our new favorite phrase) but this is seriously out of our zone of experience. Who has suggestions? We know you're out there.
