Thank you all for your kind words We are doing good and the festivities will begin tomorrow with the insurance company and all It turns out the fire started because their was a crack in the morter (sp?) of the fireplace and that when we had the fire going on with the crack it started a fire in between the wall of our den and DD room but it all worked out, thank god!!! The previous owners did not have the fireplace made well (as we just found out) so needless to say NO MORE FIREPLACES for us Thanks again everyone!!!
We had the EXACT same thing happen in our house about 4 years ago. It was so scary.
We were watching TV and the whole room started to fill up with smoke and the mirror above the fireplace cracked.
We had the fireplace completely pulled out and redone. But I no longer let DH go to bed with the fire burning. I'm too scared.
I'm glad you and your family are all safe and sound.

OMG - Thank God you are all okay and that your DH was able to react so quickly and wake you. I am so glad that you are all safe and I am sending lots of good wishes that you can return home soon!
