We started cereal this morning- and I have questions!
So, we went to the Dr yesterday, and she gave us the ok to start cereal. So, I mixed up the cereal this morning, and attempted to give it to DD. She didn't know what to do with it- which I'm sure is completely normal.
So, my question is, how liquidy did you make the cereal in the beginning? Also, did you give DC a full bottle after the cereal? If not, how much did you give them? Right now, DD takes 6oz every 3-4 hours- so I'm not sure how much to give her afterwards. The Dr said that she would probably need a few "top off" ounces of formula- but considering DD didn't really eat the cereal, I didnt know if I should give her a full bottle or not.
Also- how long did it take DC to get used to the cereal and actually swallow it?
Thanks!

At first , it took dd a few days to get used to it, I made it pretty watery in the beginning
I always feed her the bottle about 1/2 hour after her cereal

I basically make it the consistancy of Motts applesauce in the beginning. It does usually take them a little bit of time to really get the hang of it.
DS gets his Cereal at night at 6pm. I give it to him inbetween 2 bottles...he basically eats every 4 hours or so. He is hungry enough 2 hours after his last bottle but not so starving that he isnt satisfied with the cereal.

I made the cereal pretty liquidy in the beginning until she got used to it.
She got the bottle pretty much right after the cereal.
Now, a few months later, I make the cereal a lot thicker, she has the bottle about a half hour later.
