Weak nails

I recently took off my "fake" nails and went to my natural nails. I did the Shellac and I love it. I can't believe they are my own nails. I have had acrylic or the equivalent for many years.

What can I do to strengthen my nails? Most of them crack on the sides and I am back down to the bare minimum. My nail beds are very short so they are not looking so hot right now.

Are there any products I can use to make them stronger?

As long as you doing shellac, there is nothing you can add.

I would maybe consider taking vitamin pill like Biotin..to help strengthen them.

Shellac will also not help make them stronger..if anything I felt the longer i used shellac, the weaker my nails got so I dont do them often.

I do weekly or bi weekly manis and use a rejuvacote polish on base.

I actually would prefer mani's, but they are so weak right now I am afraid the shellac is what held them together so long. HA

I am going to try the vitamins and just do regular manicures. I would love to save the $25 on the shellac.

How long ago did you remove the acrylic? Nothing works better than justy giving it time for any nail that had acrylic over it to grow out. There are somethings that help but I don't think they anything works as well as just waiting until you have all new nails. I have done things like Nailtiques after acrylic. It does a little bit.

Nail Tek or Nailtiques - both Formula 2. I love either one of these products.

I tried EVERYTHING under the sun after I took my nails off.
What worked the BEST believe it or not was Sally Hanson Hard as Nails. Its in a green bottle. My nails are beautiful now!!!

I just took them off three weeks ago. I am going to try everything and see what works best. Thank you do much for the help
