Weaning off Nutramigen/Alimentum?
At what age did you wean your DS/DD off Nutramigen or Alimentum?
DS is 6.5 months old, eating stage 2 foods and rice cereal and oatmeal all without problems. The Dr. told me last week that I could wean him off the Nutramigen and that he would "be surprised" if there was any sort of problem now.
Well, for the past 3 feedings, I have been giving DS 1/2 Nutramigen and 1/2 Enfamil Lipil... He seems to be a little fussier than usual, but I don't know if that's a result of the formula.
When did your Dr. tell you to transition off Nutramigen or ALimentum? Thanks!

Re: Weaning off Nutramigen/Alimentum?
My DD is on Nutramigen. I think my ped said around 5 months I could try to do half Nutra. and half Good Start (which was the first formula he had rec. we switch to). I tried to do it twice and I thought she seemed a little off too. I didn't know if it was the formula or what. I've just decided to keep her on the Nutra. She is 7 mo. now.

Thanks for responding. We just had a rough night - he barely slept and is now up.
I think I am going to go back to Nutramigen and stick with it until he is ready to go to milk...

Re: Weaning off Nutramigen/Alimentum?
DD is 7.5 months and still on Alimentum. I asked the ped at her 6 month well visit and was told to leave her on it since she is doing well. At this point, she'll be a year old before I know it, and I'm just going to keep her on it until we transition to milk.
