Wearing Makeup

I've never been someone who wears a lot of makeup. I usually wear some blush, lipstick, and maybe eyeliner. I haven't been going anywhere since covid started, so there's no need to wear makeup anyway. But, with the masks, I don't want to wear it at all. I figure the blush and lipstick would get all over the mask. So, I've just been going au natural on my face. What is everyone else doing?

Re: Wearing Makeup

I can't leave the house without makeup.
My skin is awful, I have so much redness, and I am downright scary without it. Not fit for human consumption! LOL
So when I do have to go out- to a store, out to dinner, to a work meet up that we've been having lately out at restaurants since our office refuses to re-open, I wear make up.
Foundation is the most important for me, and concealer to even out my skin tone and cover all my redness.
I don't wear a ton, and nobody would ever look at me and say OMG she has on so much make up! But there is a marked difference between me with it and without it.
A little bit does come off on the mask, but not enough to ruin it. It stays on pretty well and I do set it with setting spray.

I’ve stopped wearing makeup too and my skin is soooo much better. When I go out with a mask, I throw on some eyeliner, mascara and an under eye brightener. That’s it. It wakes up my eyes but still lets my skin breathe.

I used to do a full face every day when I went to work. Now if I have zoom work meetings I just do a bit of tinted moisturizer, concealer, mascara and a bit of blush. Its been so liberating - I do love makeup but honestly my skin has never looked better.

I've been working the same as usual this whole time and haven't changed my makeup routine. I'm one who rarely leaves the house without it normally so I wouldn't change that now. I don't normally wear lipstick so that's not a factor. A tiny bit of my foundation and blush does get on the mask but I'm either tossing it or washing it at the end of he day so I don't see why it matters.

For work, I do a BB cream, concealer, blush, Bronzer on winter, mascara and eye shadow.

If we go back in September, I’ll only do a little under eye concealer and mascara probably. I’m not wasting 5-10 minutes on a section of my face no one will even see. Plus I won’t be getting close enough to anyone for them to notice.

i changed my skincare about a year ago and no longer pile on the makeup since i don't think i need it. I also think as i got older, less is more. I just do tinted moisturizer, some light eyeshadow and mascara.

Re: Wearing Makeup

I was just thinking about this because I found a lip gloss in my car that I completely forgot I bought. I opened it and put it on while sitting at a red light. Once I got where I was going, I went to put on my mask and immediately regretted putting on that gloss. I had to wipe it off and then deal with the residue inside my mask.

I never use to go anywhere without a full face on. When the virus started, it seemed like such a waste of product to put on all that makeup just to run into a store super quick or pull up to the curbside pickup. So I changed my skincare and started using a CC cream instead of foundation. At first it wasn't great, but my skin seems a lot healthier now. It looks much better. I never skip the eye makeup since that's all anyone really sees lol but I did change to stuff that all washes off easily with just face wash and water. No more rubbing my eyes with makeup remover. My makeup takes less than 5 mins now and looks better than it ever did.

Full makeup everyday. I have been working the whole time and wear a mask all day at work. The amount that comes off on the mask is minimal. I can't picture not doing hair and makeup everyday, not how I was raised. I di switch to a lip stain instead of gloss.

Re: Wearing Makeup

Before we were sent home to work remotely, I used to wear makeup (foundation, concealer, eyeliner, mascara, lipstick). But now I only wear foundation and lipstick for video calls (depends on how long the call is).

If I go out where I plan to meet people I know, I only put on eyeliner and very minimal foundation in some spots because I know my mask will cover the lower part of my face. I hate not having lipstick when I go out, so I use double masks..I have the blue surgical disposable masks I layer below a cloth mask which I don't want to get dirty. If I had to eat a restaurant or anywhere where I could remove my mask, I would probably just double mask it so if lipstick gets on my surgical mask, I can just throw it away.

I dont wear any makeup if I am just running on short errands (stores, post office, etc).

Re: Wearing Makeup

Unless I am going to see people I know I wear nothing. Otherwise I usually wear foundation, eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss.

I still wear bronzer and blushed but have stopped using foundation because it gets all over the mask which I find gross

Re: Wearing Makeup

I have never worn makeup. So I always go all natural!! Chat Icon

In high school and college I would wear eye shadow mascara maybe eyeliner and most of the time Lipstick. Eventually I only started wearing it when I went out with friends. Now I don’t even bother doing that. Do I need it probably especially under my eyes but I never cared enough.
