Wedding gowns in a color, meaning not white/ivory
I am watching Say Yes To The Dress, and they have a bride that wants red and another that wants black.
Did you have a colored dress or have you ever seen a bride with one?

I wore an ivory gown for part of our wedding, and then a red and gold Indian bridal lehenga for another part of the wedding.
And an off-white and gold sari to the other wedding reception we had :)

there was a 2011 bride that had a very light pink dress, it was gorgeous, and one of my friends had a long tiffany blue detailed train which was stunning

I have been at weddings with black and white, brown and white, black dresses, etc. There was a part of me that wanted a custom made Victorian bustle dress in dark green but my husband was against it and said to please go with traditional lace which i LOVED my dress but now after the wedding was years ago i am starting to realized i should of done more things to show my personality/taste then just the printed materials.

DH's cousin got married recently and had a red and white dress. Wasn't a second wedding, she's in her 20's.

No I had an ivory dress and all the weddings I have been white/ivory dresses. I think it could be a different and fun idea - especially for a second wedding or vow renewal.

Hmm..I never really thought about doing that. Other than Ivory or gold...something along those lines.
Now that I'm getting married again, I've noticed a lot more pink and blush colored dresses. I would not be against wearing something like that if I fell in love with the dress.

my sister wore a white dress just for her ceremony and some pictures, then quickly after change into a purple dress for the rest of her wedding

My gown was a champagne/gold color.
It was a very good color choice for me, more flattering than white or ivory.

Hey its me Jen (MirabellaNYC from LIW)!! Thanks so much for the compliments : ) I loved my dress. I actually sold it on preownedweddingdresses.com last year. I priced it much lower than original price and it made another bride as happy as it did me. I did the blush because I'm a total pink person-trust me, all my hubby's family (off the boat Italians) gasped and were shocked that I didn't wear white. It was fun!

I too watched that episode of SYTTD and found it very odd to wear a colored dress to a wedding (i know some cultures wear colored dressed for their weddings, so i wasn't talking about that, just about women who would generally buy a regular wedding gown). My dress was ivory and had a champagne sash. I have beento many wedding where the brides worse a white/ivoy gown with a colored sash, but a full on colored dress.
Although like pp said, there was a '11 bride who wore a blush colored gown to her wedding.
