Re: Wedding Hall Related-Sorry!
My reception wasn't outside but a lot of our guests hung out there (there were tables out there, just not the decked out banquet tables) I know not exactly what you asked, but the only info I had to offer that MAY help you.
OOh and the place was Flowerfield.

My cocktail hour would have been outside if it wasn't raining at the Lands End.

I think Tallgrass allows outdoor weddings but I don't know about the reception.

Re: Wedding Hall Related-Sorry!
some places might let you use their land for a site fee....
but for the entire reception to be corrdinated outside, i think will be hard to find in NY...
They usually have reception halls like that where the weather is constant and dry like LV

You would have to rent a tent and rent all the equipment.

I got married at Tallgrass. The ceremony and the cocktail hour were outside. The reception was inside, but there was a bar out on the terrace and people could chill out there if they wanted to.

My ceremony was outdoors at crest Hollow. I wanted my CH outdoors but it was too hot. There was another reception going on outdoors that day I think it was an indian coming of age party!

Re: Wedding Hall Related-Sorry!
My hall was mostly indoors - but with a really nice outdoor portion. My steel drummers and half the stations for my cocktail hour were on the terrace outside. The DJ and dining tables were inside with the dance floor. The afternoon was so beautiful that most of the people were outside for the better part of the day!
I don't know if you would consider something like that - but it worked out nicely!

Re: Wedding Hall Related-Sorry!
I had a stunning outdoor wedding, we rented a big tent and the whole thing was outside, however it wasn't at a catering hall, we had to arrange everythign ourselves, from food to flowers to toilets.
But it was like a movie. It was a superb wedding. We got married under a big tree...it was fantastic.

The Snapper in has an outdoor pavilion, meaning all the sides are open but you have a roof. I was at a 50th Birthday Party and they had a wedding going on outside under the Pavilion.

Re: Wedding Hall Related-Sorry!
We had our wedding ceremony outside at Westbury Manor. The cocktail hour was outside too (and half inside since they were afraid of rain). And during the reception people were allowed to hang out outside. The doors were left open (Manor Room).
