Wedding related - WWYD

I've posted before that I'm the Matron of Honor in a friend's wedding. She told me a few months back that my son, who will be almost 14 months by then, would be invited to the wedding. I asked her if she was sure about that (seeing as though I didn't know if she wanted to extend the invitation to kids). She said she was sure, esp. b/c I was her Matron of Honor. She sent out the invites last week and there was no indication of my son anywhere on it. And she hasn't mentioned him coming to the wedding anymore. this iwedding is going to be upstate, which means that I would have to be away from my son for several days. Chat Icon Should I ask her about him or just assume that he's no longer invited? WWYD? Thanks in advance!

I would just ask her straight out. I would tell her I understand if her plans changed, but I need to know so I can figure out who will be watching him while I am away.

if you're close enough to be her MOH, then you're close enough to have this conversation.

just let her know that you want to be able to make the appropriate plans for his care. no fuss no muss.

Me too - this sounds like the simplest thing to do.

Definitely ask. I had a destination wedding and I had no problem with people bringing their children, but I didn't properly indicate that on the invitation, which was my mistake. People asked if the children were still invited and I said yes, of course...
So it really could have been an honest bride oversight!!

Well normally I would say go by who is invited on the invitation b.c if he was invited it would be addressed to the family not to Mr. & Mrs. But having said that I think this is an exception to the rule especially since you have already had a discussion where she said he would be invited. As MOH I think it is only fair for you to just say that you got the invite and were confused as to whether your DC was still invited b.c if he is not than you will need to make alternate arrangements for his care.

I would ask too, since she specifically said before that he was invited.
