Wedding w/ 6wk old baby
My cousin is getting married for the 2nd time and having a small reception at a restaurant. DD will be exactly 6wks old to the day. Would you bring a 6wk old out to a restaurant? I just don't know how to respond to the invitation?? And DD is not even here yet (8 more days!)

Hmmm - this is a tough one. What time of year is it? How small is small? Do you have anyone to watch the baby? If so, I would do that before bringing her I think.

I would if they are invited. I had DS out around others at 3 weeks old. (he was at Applebees at 4 weeks old)

I wouldn't have, but everyone has different comfort levels when it comes to taking newborns out.

When Ryan was 5 weeks old we brought him to DH's cousin's wedding. No one touched him, everyone just oogled him. He was fine and we were happy we got to go!

I took my DS to my sister's rehearsal dinner (at a restaurant) and to her wedding at 7 wks. I think it really depends on your comfort level. I should also add that I was BFing and I would have been less comfortable leaving him with someone else.

My daughter was born on 9/14 and I took her to a wedding on 11/5. it was fine. She slept in the stroller most of the time, I made sure no one else handled her. It worked out great. (And it was nice to get out of the house a little!)
