Weight loss challange

anyone wanna join me for an impromto 2-3 week challange?

I need to try to lose 8-10 lbs before the IVF and I am sooooo lacking in any motivation at all.

Maybe we can help each other out for those who need to lsoe as well?

Ok so lets start tommorow! For those who can do and arent cycling....Lets say what we will do differently startign tommorow.


For me- I NEED to excercise.
I eat pretty well during the week, but Im going to try to count some calroies or at least keep a food journal to make sure.

And Im gonna walk starting tommorow for at least 40 minutes.

i exercise 5 days a week, but i need to eat better. i am going to cut out the snacks and drink more water. i also need to cut back on my portion size.

I am IN!!!!

I need to stop eating C rap!!!!!
I will start low carb again...that is the best for me b/c I have a gluten allergy and shouldn't be eating bread products anyway.

I will be doing work around the house, so I will count that as exercise Chat Icon , and I will TRY to get my pilates tape in a few times this week.

Today I will be planting bushes in the beds in front of my house. Can't beat that for exercise!!!

Yesterday we moved 3 yards of topsoil into the beds!! I'm still sore Chat Icon

Girls, I found this new website called sparkpeople. It is awesome!!! It is free and it helps you track your weight, journal, and gives you a program. It gives you the # of calories you burn for each exercise and it gives you a list of foods including store bought food with all the nutritional value. Also, if you go out to eat, you will also find restaurants listed.

I had begun early this month but then of course, I broke down. My problem is that I need motivation. My G-F and I were suppose to be there for each other. But, I found myself doing all the motivation for her and not the other way around.

So, I am so happy that you mentioned it for this Board! Yes, I know we have another board but it is not the same without you girls! Chat Icon

Here is the webpage: Sparkpeople.com It may take awhile to learn how to navigate but it is well worth it after you do. Also, there is a section called Sparkpages. It is almost like myspace but it is more like myfatspace Chat Icon They have tickers too....but, I am not sure if I am brave enough to post it. Maybe, that would add to my motivation. I have a page and if you create one let me know so that I can add you as a friend. I have 0 friends right now.

Oh I need to lose MUCH more then 8-10 lbs...try putting a zero after each number..cause 80-100 is more like it. BUT I was told 8-10 before our IVF so thats my goal. Chat Icon

I bought a notebook to keep track of what I am eating, this sounds easy and helpful too!

Donna, I also struggle with my weight and I have two new theories that have been working for me. 1. Right before I met my husband I had lost about 50 lbc. I remember going to get new clothes-I bought reg jeans(no stretch) in a smaller size I was when I was 14. I remembered how great I felt. I have been reliving that memory and it's been helping. 2. SHOP! Every Sunday or Monday to fill your cabinets and fridge with ONLY healthy options. 3(I know I said 2, sorry) Allow yourself to eat anything you want as long as it is healthy and portion controlled(put your food on a small plate, measure, eyc-give yourself 20 mins after you eat your original portion and if you still want 2nds help yourself) I would like to join your challenge!

Yes, i need to lose some also. I think if a person stops eating at a certain time at night helps. I have a good dinner and then i don't eat anything after 7:00 p.m. Just water. My sister-in-law lost weight this way.

I am in. I have been doing weight watchers half azzed for months now. Last week I got serious, I am going to join you all too.

I will cotinue tracking my food and I really need to get more water in.

I think drinking 8 glasses of h2o is key. And lots of Fiber in your Diet!

I'm in. I want to lose 10-15lbs before we start anything with a new RE. But, in total I want to lose 30-40.

I started drinking water and eating a healthy breakfast, which used to be a buttered roll or muffin.

As for excercise, I am going to start walking my dogs to start every other night, then Ill work up to every night.
