Weightloss ladies -- heartrate monitor

If you don't have one, GET ONE!!!!!!

I got one a few weeks ago and I LOVE it. I also started keeping track of my average HR and the highest for each workout...it's amazing how much progress I've made in the last few weeks, and I haven't really been working out as hard as I have in the past. I wish I knew how far I've come from the beginning...Chat Icon

I really suggest investing in one. I also noticed that I sometimes work out harder than I think and it makes me feel good and it's an incentive to keep going.

I have one. I needed it (for obvious reasons) anyway, they are GREAT to have. I have the polar one where you can see cal burned, avg. heart rate, mins in zone, etc.etc.etc. It is some super duper deluxe model that I got last Christmas. I needed it for cardiac rehab and for the gym.

I have the polar one too. NOt the super delux one, just the middle one. It's coated and can store a weeks worth of workouts.

I have one and love it but mine doesnt tell distance and they cost so much for a new one with distance. I wish I could trade in the one I have now.

Not a dumb question. You wear the monitor around your chest and you put the watch, which shows you your HR on your wrist.

ETS: You don't have to wear the watch on your wrist, you can keep it in your pocket or something. Also, the treadmills/bikes can read the HR monitor, so you will see it there as well.
