Weird Chase email...
I just got an email from Chase telling me I needed to log onto a certain site to update my details. I've never had an account with Chase (at least I don't think I have  ) Anyone else get this?

Probably spam that wants to gt your info for identity theft. I'd just delete it.

I have been getting about 7 or 8 emails a day in my junk mailbox from Chase. I was reporting them to Chase, but there are so many lately, I just dump them all.

I heard something like this was going around. I don't know if it was from Chase or another bank. Do not reply, it is a scam.

Nope haven't gotten one. I'm sure it's one of those horrible spam e-mails that people get their identities stolen with. They're probably just hoping that you have a Chase account so they can steal your info.

For a while I was getting them from Washington Mutual, I forwarded some and then I started deleting them. It eventually stopped.

Don't even open it. My best friend got that and opened it and someone got into all of her Chase accounts and from there, got into her bank accounts. She reported it to Chase and they couldn't care less.

I get these all the time - I dont even have a Chase account. I bet they figure with all the spam they send out there is at least one person who does who would be naive enough to "update" their account through the links.

its called phishing.
you should try to forward to chase (they should have a spam/fake email address that they can trace back where the this garbage is coming from.
When you click on the link in the "fake" email, it will bring you to a portal site to record keystokes then to chase. some will not see difference as it is a replica.
don't click, try to call and forward ......

Me too. I used to report them to Chase but I never got a response so now I just bin them

DH got one the other day. He clicked on the link just to see what would happen and the link was invalid. He ended up sending the email to Chase for them to investigate.

I think you can also forward it to the FBI. I did that once- I was getting those emails from Nigeria about depositing money in my account or something like that.

My husband received something similar to this from Washington Mutual. We never had an account with them and when I called to inquire about this, they told me it was a scam and to just ignore it. I hate these things!

I had one earlier today, too. Sent it to the trash bin. Whoever wrote it isn't exactly a Rhodes scholar.

Nice grammar. And what the heck is a "fallow"? "Obligatory"... yeah, let me get right over there and give you some info.
