Weird mask question - do you wear one at the drive through
Yes. I wear a mask whenever I am interacting with someone I don't know in public.

I did the other day (i'm one if those people who sneeze from stepping into sunlight) and was like... What do I do now? You start to second guess things you never thought about. But I also sneezed into my arm too. Weird.

No. For the same reasons above.

I don’t and I would hope ppl don’t do it either. Think about it, we sneeze so we can expel what our bodies have recognized as foreign and possibly as dangerous. The last thing u want is for those particles (microorganisms included) to hang around ur nose and ur mouth and then enter ur body again.

Of course. I can’t believe people would still think otherwise.

If you need to sneeze, how would you do so then if you’re wearing a mask? The entire reason to wear the mask is to stop your mucus from transmitting viral particles into the air.

Yes, I put it on as I drive up to the window and then take it off as I drive away.

Yeah I thought so too. If you have to sneeze and you're in a crowded area or store, then what? If you take it off to sneeze you then are defeating the purpose of the mask in the first place. I am sure breathing in your own sneeze for a few minutes until you get outside isn't going to be harmful. It came from your own body so it's microorganisms that you already are harboring.

Exactly - other than it being gross to breath in a "wet" mask, it's not going to harm you.
I had to sneeze at the grocery store and I just had to do it in the mask. I thought briefly of moving the mask aside to sneeze into my arm, but that seemed counterproductive to the point of the mask.

I might be a freak but love sneezing!
I don't stifle them. But I do announce that "sneezing is not a symptom of COVID" every time I sneeze in front of people.
ETA - and if I do need to sneeze in public while wearing my mask I keep the mask on. I thought that was the whole point of wearing masks.

why is this selfishness. you are 6 feet apart your transaction is maybe 60 seconds at the window if that
why is mask ever necessary please tell me?? Because i have no idea why we would need one its not like we are on top of each other and around them for very long.
Masks are not required while sitting at table at a restaurant which you are much closer to the waitress and are there much longer than 60 seconds but people actually think we are required to wear a mask at a drive through?
how does that make any sense?

Sneezing feels so good when you can really let it out! I'm dreading the fall because that is when my allergies really kick into high gear and I can sneeze 6 times in a row and more! Won't be fun in a mask!

Yes. I wear a mask at the drive through. I put it on when I pull up to the window and take it off when I drive away.
The few times we've been out to a restaurant, I also keep my mask on when we order, get the check, and any other interaction with the waitstaff.

OK I know what you mean. A quiet sneezer. LOL My DH used to get so mad at me because we'd be home and sitting quietly on the couch watching TV and out of nowhere I'd let out such a loud sneeze and he'd jump out of his skin. He'd be like- WHY do you have to SCREAM your sneezes? He'd love you... a quiet sneezer!

Maybe I used the wrong term. Like I sneeze, but no one knows it. I hate it when you think you are going to sneeze, and it doesn't happen. I wave my hand in front of my nose to help the sneeze along. I then have to announce "I feel a sneeze coming on" But unless I'm alone, driving, or caught off guard, I never have an AHH-chooo" sneeze.
I agree Sneezing is not a sign of COVID

I have found that if you get that feeling you have to sneeze but it's not coming, if you put your head back and look up at the ceiling, it helps it along. Nothing scientific, just something that works for me.

Yep I’m Selfish an entitled brat! And you’re a bitchhh for being so judgmental. I guess we all have our faults huh??
You still haven’t explained to me why it’s necessary except it’s common courtesy which I don’t see how it’s even common courtesy! It’s not like i am sneezing and coughing on the person. It’s a 60 second transaction and personally I rather not touch my face when I don’t need too!
