Weird question re: flip flops
Do you find that when you first break out the flip flops for the season, they irritate the skin between your big and second toe, where the "thong" or whatever that part is called, hits?
I know this sounds weird, but every year when I start wearing them this happens. And then a few wearings later they are fine for the rest of the season.
It's almost like the skin there has to toughen up or something.
I have very bad feet and issues with almost every kind of footwear on the planet so I am fully aware that it may be just me, but I was curious if anyone else got irritation between their toes from wearing flip flops too.

Yeah, I've felt that too. It's like putting a thong on after you haven't worn one in a while. Something just doesn't feel right that first day or two... LOL

YUP! I started wearing a pair around the house just the other day...we don't wear shoes in the house, just slippers in the winter and house-only flip flops in warm weather. I currently have the itchy skin feeling. Blech. LOL.
BUT IT'S WARM AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS!!!

Yup, happens every year, even with flip flops I have worn before. Takes a day or two for my feet to feel normal again.

OK glad I am not the only one! With the issues I have with it shoes, I thought for sure it was just me!
I guess it's like forming a callous or something , toughing up that skin in there.
Either way, like a PP said, I don't care, I'll take it as long as it means it's finally FLIP FLOP WEATHER!!!

Yup!!! First time wearing sandals yesterday and the shoes were killing me.

YES! LOL. I always say my toes need to go through spring boot camp. Toughen them up a bit and then they are ok. lol

Happens eve year - but for some reason, I thought I would be immune from it this year. I wore brand new wedge flip flops to the mall the other day and had to buy another new pair of shoes because that spot was rubbed open and bleeding (not that buying more new shoes is such a bad thing!)
