Well, I put it off long enough
Finally scheduled DD's next testing for her kidneys. The one where she's put under anesthesia   Early October (actually, on DH's b-day).
I'm a nervous wreck. I wish I had longer to worry about it-- less than a month.
Anyone want to share their experiences with their child going under anesthesia?

My daughter went under anesthesia for a bone marrow test when she was 4. I was a wreck but it all turned out fine. She was just a little groggy afterwards but that didn't even last for long.
The worst part is not letting them eat or drink anything beforehand - because they really don't understand.
Your daughter will be okay!!!!

I don't have personal experience but my niece (my best friend's daughter) was put under for a minor operation. She was very lethargic afterward but otherwise had no side effects. for your DD.

DS was put under for almost 3 hours for major dental work. He woke up a little groggy but asking for McDonalds. He was fine, as for me...not so much. Its really amazing how these little ones can bounce back.

DS was put under at 6 months old for surgery for hypospdiues. It was done at stonybrook and the dr's nurses were great and reassuring. I was so worried and scared but by the time they took him in for surgery and came into the waiting room to say everything turned out well, the time seemed to go by so slow. Nevertheless, everything was fine & my little man was back in my arms again!

Jordan (my 7 yr old) had her adenoids out in kindergarten. She woke up a Little aggitated and said to me through her gritting teeth, "Don't make me have to hit you!" She doesn't remember, but she was fine!
