Went to the Broward County Job Fair in Florida Today...
and I got me my guidance job!!!! Crazy long story short - had a wedding last night - went to the airport at 4:30 this morning for a 6 AM flight jumped in a cab, went to the high school where the fair was, ran to the table of the high school that I wanted a guidance position at (I knew they needed one) - and they hired me ON THE SPOT. Since I sent my resume to them 2 weeks ago, they knew who I was, they were waiting for me to show, and they would not let me leave!!!! 5 minutes after I walked into the fair - I had a job!!
Even better - 3.8 miles from where we'll be living and get this - the school mascot is THE SAME as my school I just resigned from in New York! Guess I'm destined to be a Cougar!!!!
Just wanted to share!! Now I need to go crash!!!

GUys - I think I may have to move to Florida next week!!!!! I'll find out Monday (I'm down here til Wed - going into the school on Monday) - omg - PLEASE give me more time than next week!!!

we're starting school later this year, i don't see why you couldn't come down a wee bit later, my county doesn't start till 8/14 for teachers and 8/20 for kids - last year it was 8/1

Beacause I'm a guidance counselor and a lot of the depts are opening next week! I will find out on Monday! Pray for August 14th - lol!
