Went to the doctor-The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
I went to the normal office of my neurologist today and I was sent to a different floor to meet with him.  When I went to open the office door I noticed it stated it was the office of Mulitple Sclerosis. I wanted to throw up. 
The Good: Doctor says I do not have MS!!!!  He admitted they thought I did. My neurological testing is coming back pretty dang good. Some interruptions from the herniated disk and the damage from the spinal, but they say it is not causing my problems.
The Bad: I am being sent to numerous other specialists to rule things out. He is very concerned about the muscle problems. I have more tests to do tomorrow morning. Will it ever end?
The Ugly: I have been so overwhelmed by everything that I had a MAJOR F^ck up at work Friday night. I could be fired. Amongst the obvious loss of a paycheck, this could mean I lose my health insurance. Obviously, that would be the most devastating at this point. (And DH's insurance won't deal with ppre-existing conditions if I switch to his.) My immediate boss called me today to say she doesn't think I'll be fired, but I have a meeting tomorrow with the Vice President.
All of this is why I asked for prayers over the weekend. I appreciate all the support!!!!! Thanks for listening!!!!

on the no MS..oh longing for the days when MS meant morning sickness for you.
As for the ugly, if you need any advice, I'm in HR. Are you in NY? I believe they are required by law to cover pre-existing conditions as long as they has been no break in health coverage. Looking for that info now for you.

You are right!!! New York State has very good pre existing condition laws...as long as there is no break in coverage the new insurance company will have to cover the issues...if there was a break in coverage the individual would have to wait that amount of time before the new insurance company would cover the condition..but according the law that amount of time cant exceed a year..
Kelly..contact dm24angel she knows more about this stuff than I do..but barbara is right...

The fact that it's not MS is fantastic! My cousin has that, and it's not something anyone wants to have ever.
So congratulations on this wonderful piece of news!
Hopefully, your worst fears will not be confirmed about work. Can you talk to your supervisor and explain that you are dealing with some ongoing issues? You don't have to explain what, just apologize for the mistake, rectify it if at all possible, and let them know that you aren't a careless person.

And they are correct, your health insurance under DH would continue...NYS law says pre existing conditions are covered as long as theres no break in coverage.
