Re: Were you disappointed when you found out the sex?
Posted by lipglossjunky73
All thru my pregnancy, all I wanted was a girl... I kept thinking -what if I had a boy?
Well, when he was born and they said - its a boy - I was sooo happy. I LOVE him sooo much, I can't imagine not having him and having a girl instead... It never dawned on me to be disappointed!!!
now I'm hoping when I'm pregnant again, we have a boy - isnt that crazy????
This is exactly how I feel :) I can't say I was "disappointed" at my level II, but I was SO SURE it was a girl, that when they said "boy" a tiny piece of me felt confused, lol. I was ecstatic though...got used to the idea of a little boy, and now that he has been here for 8 months I can tell you that I woudln't mind all boys. I love him more than anything in the world.
Just remember...some people pray and pray for just a healthy baby when there is a fear of something being wrong. That's all you can hope for, the sex really doesn't matter. You will love whatever you have!

No..I wanted a girl..and that's what we are having. DH is thrilled as well. He didn't care either way.

Re: Were you disappointed when you found out the sex?
My husband's brother's wife was HELL bent after having two boys to have a girl. When I had Amber, she made it her mission to get "accidentally/on purpose" pregnant. She did and now she has her girl. Some people just step in $hit that way
For me, I don't want to find out the sex of the baby (didn't with Amber and wouldn't if I ever got pregnant again). I don't want to get wrapped up in the whole expectation of what it will be.

For us, no not at all. A small tiny piece of us hoped #2 was a , but only to carry on DH's last name. We both were secretly hoping for another girl and so far we got our wish
For us sex doesn't matter, all we want is a happy healthy baby.

Re: Were you disappointed when you found out the sex?
I always wanted a boy and a girl. My DH wanted a boy so much! We didn't find out what we were having so when they said "It's a boy!"..he was on cloud 9! I always wanted a girl to pick out pretty dresses. I was disappointed for 30 seconds. If we are blessed with #2 and blessed with another boy I would be just as happy. You love your child no matter what so bring on a girl or a boy!

Re: Were you disappointed when you found out the sex?
I don't think I could ever say the word "dissapointed" when it comes to the sex of my child. We're not finding out the sex and am so excited and more concerned about their health and happiness.
Boy... girl... either one is an absolute blessing!
