What age did you start wheat and finger foods?
My pediatrician told me to wait until 8-9 months to introduce wheat cereals to my DD. She is 7 months old now, and I wanted to try some puffs or crackers with her to see how she does with picking up with her fingers, but I noticed that they all have wheat flour in them. Just wondering how long everyone else waited to give wheat cereal/puffs/crackers, etc. Also, what age for small pieces of fruit or cooked vegetables?
Edit: And for those did puffs, did you try a wheat or multigrain cereal first to see if it was okay, or no?

I did puffs when he was around 7 months old. Ped never told me to avoid wheat.
When he got good with that we moved on to all breads - graham crackers, toast, bagel, etc. I figured they were easily chewed/dissolved.
