What age do you start tummy time
When should I start putting DS on his tummy for tummy time. I tried today and he just mushed his little face into the mat and then cried.
How do I get him started if I should be doing this now. He is 4 weeks old.

They say to start right away. 4 weeks old is fine to start for a few minutes a day and then build it up over time.

4 wks is good-i started right away then lagged off..wish i kept at it b/c DD doesn't like it at all!

I started when DD was about a week old-it didn't last more than a few mins at that time though

I started around 4 weeks also. She hated it and would only last a few minutes, gradually, they get used to it and stay on their tummy a little longer.

start right away. you'll be right there with your baby so you know your babe's fine. i started later because hub would scold me when i did it early. what an effer!

Right away. My baby likes it most of the time. It's really neat to see him make movements that look like early attempts to crawl.

we started right away. she enjoys it the most when I put her on my chest, she lifts up and we are face to face.

we started with DD whn she was 6 weeks or so but she hated it and didnt really have it on a regular basis till she was 3 mths or so...
