Re: What am I doing wrong?

How do you know if they are ready to belly sleep? She can lift her head nicey during tummy time but I am terrified to put her on her tummy and her not being able to lift her head during the night. I know we all slept on our tummies but I guess since they drill it into your head "back to sleep".... it makes me nervous.
I did it when I realized if Joseph fell asleep on me on his belly, he would sleep for hours. One day I moved him from me to his Gymini mat. He slept for FOUR hours. I kept checking him because I was so paranoid.
I eased into it by doing naps only until I was comfortable enough to do it at night.
No blankets, stuffed animals or toys where he sleeps. Firm mattress, firm sheets. Don't put him near the bumper.
It's certainly not for everyone. I know it helped both of my kids a lot. Good luck !

I'm also still trying to figure out my DC's schedule and what works best. My DD is always waking herself up with her flailing arms until we put her in the Miracle Blanket. It's worth a shot.
Good luck!

Re: What am I doing wrong?
Thanks girls for all of your advice! I really appreciate it.
I wanted to try a miracle blanket or a swaddle me but DH thinks they are so restrictive. And if she gets her arms out of it every morning, does that mean she doesn't want to be swaddled anymore?

Re: What am I doing wrong?
Well, the Miracle Blanket does get them in there pretty snug, but it's the only thing that helped our DD sleep more than 2 hours straight. She always broke out of a regular blanket swaddle. It's a little harder for them to get out of the MB.
