I'm scared of trying to wake her up early for school in a few years... she is wenchy if you wake her up early... and she likes to sleep until 11am some days.

I'm just dreading the complete bottle to sippy cup transition. DD drinks out of it for meals but DS raises it like he's in some German beer hall, waves it back and forth and up and down, so water sprinkles out over his headChat Icon

Could he be trying to tell me that he wants to be baptized?Chat Icon

Oh, and you'll be surprised how quickly she'll adjust in daycare. My DD never held her bottle for me. First bottle of first day in daycare she held itChat Icon But won't do it for me. It's as if she's saying, "You hold it Ma, it's your job"Chat Icon Chat Icon

ETA: You know I avoided as many transitions as possible. Such a mean mommy I am... crib from day one and when the hospital gave them binkies they went right in the garbage.

His finger sucking looks like it will progress to thumb sucking, and putting everything in his mouth. He has only recently learned to soothe himself this way though, so I hate to take this away from him at such a young age.

The binky here. I'm planning on doing it when she turns 2, so she's got about 5 weeks left!! I'm really dreading it.

we put her in swing for naps and she falls asleep in before going into crib for the night. We really shot ourselves in the foot with this, and dreading trying to put her down in crib to fall asleep.

Thankfully DD was pretty easy with the major transition stuff. She slept in her crib from day 1 - alway went down awake and put herself to sleep (never got used to sleeping with us or in a swing or stroller), slept through the night at 6 - 8 weeks (so no more night feedings), never used a binky, and doesn't suck her thumb. We went 100 % cold turkey with the bottles at 12 1/2 months and she did great. She had a few moments here and there, but nothing too bad. The only thing I can think of is she likes her sippy cup with water at night. I can only imagine this might be an issue when we start potty training.

The sippy of milk as part of her bedtime routine def #1 thing for my oldest.

For my youngest, getting her to sleep without her sack.

Sleeping in our bed. He takes naps in his crib, but at night he won't even go in the co-sleeper. It's so convenient for me since I EBF.

Andrew ***** his thumb and twirls his hair in the back of his head. At 3 it's getting less and less cute! I think it's going to be really hard to get him to stop...

The binky. I dread doing this but I don't regret letting him have it at all.

My Andrew is almost 4 and still twirls the hair at the top of his head. Luckily, he gave up the thumb a long time ago.

DD on the other hand, I'll be lucky is she give up her thumb before college Chat Icon Chat Icon

The habit I have to break, is the darn bottle. He does good with the sippy cup, but, at nap time, still wants that bottle.
He never took the paci, never s u ck ed his thumb, we never did co-sleep, etc..
After vacation, bottles are going to be put away. Cold Turkey.

Definitely the binky! I only give it to her right before sleep or when she is extremely cranky but still. It'll be a battle b/c she loves it. If she sees it, she goes nuts if I don't give it to her.
