What are some of your pets quirks?

Lilly is quite a character - here are some things that she does that may seem a bit strange to anyone else (non-pet people )

* She doesn't eat all of her food at once - she grazes throughout the day. When she *does* eat, she takes a mouthful and runs to another section of the room, drops the food out and eats it nugget by nugget.

* She HAS to have a few sips of water before she goes to bed - out of a specific pint glass that either DH or I keep on our night tables.

* If she's laying on the couch, she has to be under a blanket, no latter how hot it is out.

* If she's trying to get our attention, she'll pitter patter in place until we acknowledge her.

* If we tell her NO for something, she's been known to stomp her front paw and then glare at us

*If we're gone for a longer day than usual, she'll give us the cold shoulder for a good hour or so when we return. She won't look at us, won't snuggle, won't want anything to do with us.

*Our kitten, Rosie, will NOT go in bed until one of us is in it. She has been separated from the other cats due to recent surgery, and she has been staying in our bedroom. During the day, she hangs out only on the nightstand or on the window sill. As soon as one of us gets into bed, she comes in, but never before.

*Before our cat, Oliver, comes down the stairwell, he "announces" himself. He calls out until either DH or I appear. Once we show ourselves to him, he comes down the remainder of the stairs.

*Our cat, Charlotte, is OBSESSED with french fries.

My cat never begs for food. BUT when I have a bag of doritos or meatloaf she comes stalking me and attempts to get at it with her paw.

She also likes to paw out one piece of dry food at a time before she eats it.

She won't sit on our laps (we can't figure it out), but once I lie down in bed she is more than happy to lie on my stomach.

And her newest invention. She moves her dry food bowl into the middle of the kitchen as a form of protest if I have not fed her wet food soon enough to her liking.

my cat kneads my belly before she lays on it.
She also has to lay on whatever Im reading.. right smack in the middle of the book, paper or magazine!

my dog hinds in DD closet during storms and steals my neighbors dog's stuffed toys and hides them in our couch!

Hailey stomps her foot at us too!!!! Such a spoiled little girl!!! It's so funny though.

Hailey also comes to bed with me every night. I think it's adorable. I go upstairs to get ready for bed and no matter where she was, she will be on her bed waiting for me when I come into the room.

Hailey thinks she's a lap dog. A 65 pound lap dog!!! The twins were sitting on my lap the other day when I was sitting on the floor and Hailey tried to join them!!!

Sara smiles. I mean a real, teeth baring smile!!!! She does it when we come home and she's excited. If you didn't know her, you'd think she was growling.

Sara loves pizza and when she sees the delivery guy with the box, she gets very excited.

We have a little pomeranian named Daisy and she has quite a big personality and plenty of interesting little quirks!

Here are some of them:

If she has a blanket or pillow in her crate she will dig at it and headbutt it until it is just right and then plop down

In the winter time, she always climbs to the highest snowpile to use the bathroom

she has figured out how to open our bedroom door

She has a specific sitting position that she does whenever DH takes out his cold cuts to make his lunch every night because she thinks she's getting some.

In the mornings when I get ready for work I bring her upstairs with me - while I'm in the bathroom she gets so excited that she scoots around on her butt for 5 minutes and then proceeds to steal all my underwear out of the basket.

Every now and then she'll steal dirty tissues and tear them apart

She has so many others, but those are the ones I can think of right now!

My dog is a dachshund. He is all quirk. What aspect of him is not a quirk?

my cat has these three mouse like toys he'll drown in his waterbowl.. he'll drown it and then when he sees us cry for water.. so now we got him a two dish bowl and fill both with water.. and of course, one his to kill his toy and the other is for him to drink from so he won't get thirsty.. so far its working..

Izzy will hug me. He will jump up on my chest when I'm lying down and put his paws round my neck and put his head down. Then we hug. Freakin adorable.

Izzy will also grab onto the blanket with his teeth and hump it. He's fixed but still humps.

Bella's version of humping is backing up to anything with her tail up and her back paws scraping the ground like she's waiting to be mounted.

Horny cats.

Bella swats Izzy and then Izzy lies on his back and pretends to fight.
