I am 5'0" ...

Advantages:
* Almost all my boyfriends were taller than me
* I can take someone out at the kneecaps whenever I want.
* When we spoon, I fit into my husband perfectly.

Disadvantages:
* I get run over by people all the time
* I am armpit height on the subway
* I cannot reach the bar on the subway above my head, I always need a door or a pole.
* I am in the 1% that can be killed on impact when an airbag explodes since I sit so close to the freakin steering
wheel.

Im 5'11 so I always dated guys my height or smaller. Some guys are kind of intimidated by a tall girl!! lol

Pants were hard to find, esp jeans
I cannot find boots that fit my calves right!! lol

When I was younger I could get on all the rides at amusement parks because I was always taller than need be!!

I'm 5'6", very average size, and in proportion.

I'd rather be taller, with longer legs. If I put on some lbs, I tend to look dumpy.

advantages to being 5'7" - I like being taller than avg for a woman, I rarely need to get pants hemmed, I can reach the high cabinets/shelves

disadvantages - I don't really know of any, DH would probably like it if I were not only 2" shorter than him lol

Advantages

Can have more weight on my frame and not look heavy

Can reach most stuff

Disadvantages

Hard for me to get the right length pants...long is just a bit too long and i need to wear heals where Regular is too short on me

I tower over my most of my girlfriends who are all at least 2 inches shorter then me (especially with heals on). Makes me feel very BIG.

I have to wear petite pants. When we go to the grocery store, DH has to get the stuff from the top shelf.

Blech. I am barely 5" ft.

Advantages:

Every Sunday when I do the grocery shopping, I see the same hot firemen. They saw me climbing the shelves one day, trying to knock down a box of cereal with a pen. From that day on, they take pity on me and get the stuff I can't reach.

Disadvantages:

Like Elbee said, I'm armpit height on the subway. Not a good thing in the summer.

I must get all of my pants hemmed.

Capris on normal sized women are just short enough to be high waters on me.

Most clothes are out of proportion on me. The sleeves are too long or too short, the darts in fitted button down shirts are in the wrong place. And just because I am short does NOT mean I am skinny! I need pants that have room in the thighs and hips, I am not Paris Hilton!

Disadvantage:

I'm not tall.

I can't reach stuff in high places.

Have to hem everything I buy.


Advantage:

I can get thru crowds pretty easily.

I can always wear heals next to DH and still be smaller.

Advantages: Reaching anything I need or want.

Disadvantages: My DH is 5'8" and I'm a giant if I wear heels.

I'm 5'2 on a good day

advantages- I can be comfortable anywhere- this pisses my DH off to no end- I only need 1 cushion on the couch

I can wear any shoes I want

Disadvantages- can't buy pants off the rack- everything needs to be shortened

5'7" - very long torso

Advantages:

- I can reach high things
- No one calls me shorty
- I don't have to have pants hemmed

Disadvantages:

- I'm only 2 inches shorter than DH, so I don't like to wear heels.
- Feeling like the tall dorky person when I'm with my friends who are shorter than me
- Having a high cervix (I know, TMI) which I think is causing me problems TTC

Adv.:
Tallness - being able to reach things, although DH is taller, so I make him do it.

Disadv.:
I'm taller than some of my family and I hate having that over bearing feeling when I'm around them and pict are being taken.

adv:
I am taller than my friends
I can reach most anything I need

disadv:
I am taller than most of my friends
I am also VERY curvy, so I feel like I look like a linebacker
when I gain weight, I get wider, furthering the linebacker look.

dh is 5'10, so most days with shoes, we are around the same height...he actually likes it, and said he wouldn't mind if I was taller.

sometimes I wish I was smaller though...I feel the advantages of being short are

you look cuter when you put weight on. chubby tall chicks look bigger than chubby short chicks, AND you don't have the "little girl" thing on your side when you are as tall as the average man.

I can tell you what sucks though

I am 4'10

Can't reach anything in kitchen cabinets.

When I go to the food store I have to stand on shelves or use something else to push the stuff on the top shelf closer to me so I can reach them

Nothing fits me. Pants are ALWAYS to long. Same with sleeves.... Even Petite sizes are to long!

I don't have a problem with my height, I just wish I were 4 inches taller, this way my weight would've been distributed better! Either that or be thinner!

No big advantages or disadvantages for me either way... I don't like if I need something in a top cabinet, but that's okay, I slide a chair over, other than that, I'm happy at my height which is not really tall or short (5'3")

I am just under 5'4. I am very happy with my height. DH and I are around the same height but neither of us cares that there is not a traditional "guy taller than girl" thing going on.

advantage....shorter than DH, used to be able to fit into kids clothing....when I was thinner

disadvantage.....I don't feel that people take me as seriously..sometimes get treated like a kid...I hate that
