Public school for us. My tax dollars being put to use.
Catholic school is an option if public schools fail us. Home schooling is out of the question.

Re: What are you/will you be doing for school?
one of the reasons we bought this house was the excellent school district. Im Catholic but a huge OPPONENT to dumping my wallet into their schools, never heard a plus about it (no offense to private school students )

Re: What are you/will you be doing for school?
Because my local neighborhood public school doesn't offer nursery or pre-K programs, my son currently goes to a Catholic school. After he "graduates" from pre-K next June, he will be off to our local public school. The reason we picked this neighborhood is the school district. It is excellent and I can't wait for him to go there for 2 reasons: 1- I'll finally meet more people from my little neighborhood (and I've been living here for over 8 years)! and 2- Finally put my crazy-high tax dollars to good use!!!!

Catholic school. I teach in Catholic school and was a Catholic school student myself for 12 years. In fact, one of the reasons we decided to stay in Queens is because we could never have afforded or justified spending $$$ on tuition in addition to high taxes; with low taxes we are able to.

Re: What are you/will you be doing for school?
I work for a private school that is Nursery through 8th grade. My children go for free, so we will be sending Ava there. It is an amazing school, and I wouldn't pass up the opportunity for her to have this kind of education. Although, I see nothign wrong with public schools, either, but we have very small class sizes, and I know all of the teachers, so obviously I KNOW what kind of education she'll get.

Re: What are you/will you be doing for school?
I would really like to send my children to Catholic school. I am in a good school district though, and therefore are paying high taxes. I am hoping that I can still afford the tuition for Catholic school. We'll see. DD is only 2 months old.

I think my sister's friend sends her kids to your school. I think before sending Ava, you need to work out the ghost issue.

Re: What are you/will you be doing for school?
Catholic school, in our district it is amazing how much better the morale of the kids from our Catholic schools are compared to those of public school. The public school kids around here lack respect, motivation, and a sense of humanitarianism. My 6yo has done more volunteering and helping in our community than one of my patients who is in 8th grade and oges to public school. It is costly, but well worth it!

Re: What are you/will you be doing for school?
I will be sending my baby to Catholic School. The Public schools in my area are not good and I went to Catholic school, so I think it is best for my child. If I lived on LI, where the public schools are better than in Queens, i would send them to public. but, I feel that I really have no choice. I am looking for catholic schools in queens (same school I went to) and in Manhattan.

I would honestly love to home school, but I wouldn't want to prevent him from interacting with other children. Public school for us.

Re: What are you/will you be doing for school?
Public school for elementary then we plan on switching to catholic school. Personally I think catholic school is worth the money in the long run.
