What bottoms to babies wear?

We received a Ton of onesie tops for newborn & 0-3 months, but I noticed we had no bottoms. I of course panicked and could not bear the thought of my daughter of just sleeping in a top and diapers. So I wanted to get some white bottoms, but could not find any, anywhere. I had a breakdown, at the thought of having to put her in an orange top with a pink bottom. I’m being ridiculous, aren’t I? Do babies, just lounge around in tops and diapers? I think the overwhelming nerves of her arrival any day now is messing with me.

Second, I don't think it's really that big of a deal if she doesn't have any pants for the first few weeks but I would want her to have some kind of pants 0-3 months DEF especially since it's not warm enough out yet to just put her in dresses or just a onsie.

I'm due at the end of June so I plan on putting DS in onsie's or just the snap shirts with diapers for the first 3 months of his life. My mom said that my sisters and I lived in the side closing shirts with our diapers for the first few weeks because it was just easier. My SIL and BIL both agreed that putting pants on a newborn was a waste since you have to change them so often.

Try Buy Buy Baby. And honestly, if you can't find any pants in the girls section, go over to the boys section. I have pants on my registry and they are gray, brown, and navy blue. You could DEF use those.

In the warmer weather I think it's completely normal for babies to wear just a onesie. I've also seen babies in onesies and leg warmers which I think is adorable. You could always just get stretchy pants or sweatpants.

They have leggings everywhere - childrens place, carters, gap, old navy - just go buy a few pairs!

I always had pants on my DS. He never was just in a top and diaper. I'm not a fan of it. My nephew on the other hand was always just in his diaper.

I had dd in the "sleep and plays" bc Ithe pants I received were all too big. Personally I find the sleep and plays to be really easy for diaper changes etc so I would get a few. We have some that are cute for daytime and some others for sleep.

Edit to add the nurse told me that I shouldn't put pants on dd until her umbilical cord fell off so the sleep and plays worked perfectly

The first few weeks I remember keeping DD in a onesie but used the swaddle thingy! I was recovering from a csection so we really didn't go anywhere. When we did go out for appointments of course I would dress her.

I always dressed DS. Even if it was a plain onesie with a pair of pants so i hear you! You can def find pants, leggings etc for your DD. Its always easy to find this stuff for girls- boys.... ugh!!!

Carters always has little sets of pants (2-3 packs) that coordinate with a lot of things.

My DS was a winter baby and I had him in the sleep&plays and zip up pjs for the first couple of months, unless we were going out.

My twins are due in the summer and I got similar outfits for them as well bc they will likely be in our ACd house most of the time. When we go outside, I'll dress them in a onesie and some type of shorts, or dresses if we have girls. I'm not a fan of just onesies, unless you are at home.

DS was born in the summer and all he wore all summer were onesies and alot of those one piece outfits that looked like shorts but snapped like onesies. Like others said, Carter's does sell sets of like 2 pairs of pants that can be mix and matched to various onesies.

DS was born in July so yes for the first few weeks he hung out in onesies with a receiving blanket. As we started dressing him in outfits, we use the onesies at underwear/ undershirt.

DS 2 started in Sleep and Plays and then moved to onesies and pants - like pps said, they sell separate packs of pants at Carters.

When it got warmer, he was in one piece outfits - like a t-shirt with a long bottom.

My girls rocked Sleep and Plays for months. I had winter babies, so I really needed to keep them warm, but the one-piece pjs were so easy. Children's Place, ON, and Carters sell leggings that coordinate with whatever tops you got. I wouldn't buy anything white IMO - one poop explosion and those pants are done.

i had a summer baby so she was in a onesie or a footie pj . unless we went out then i would put something cute on her.

if you want you can get some leg warmers. i love using them.

if you do decide to go the pj route do yourself a favor and get your hands on the ones that have zippers. the buttons are a pita to deal with in the middle of the night.lol

Thanks everyone for your input. I think I am just starting to overthink things as we get closer for this babies arrival. We went out last night and bought a ton on Sleep & Plays. Never knew how overhwleming this could be.
