We bought our house first. We had lived in a two bedroom apt with 4 people so there was no room for baby things.
We wanted to be able to set up a nursery and see it change as our baby grew. We also wanted her firsts to be in our forever home. Kind of like marks on the wall to show our grandchildren.
Does that make sense?

House Spring '10
And we are currently TTC so the house will come before the baby HOWEVER I may be pregnant before we move into the house

Baby then house. We live in a coop now. We don't want to pay for extra space until we need it. The house move would be a relocation for us since we don't live on LI now but plan to buy a house there. So, we're waiting for baby, then while on leave from work, we'll move.

We bought a 2 bdrm co-op in 2006 before we got married. Now we are trying to sell it but that is taking longer than expected so if we've come to terms that we may have a baby here.

Baby first....we live in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment in a family member's house and I love it! We have no desire to move any time too soon. Maybe in a year and a half to two years.

Baby will come first for us (hopefully!)We live in an apartment in my parents house and are able to save so much $ because of it. We'd like to save for a few more years and right before baby starts pre-k buy a house. This will allow us to have a decent downpayment and still have a nice chunk in savings.

I got pregnant two months after we moved into our house. We waited to TTC (6 months) because our apartment was way too small and I didn't want to move while pregnant or with an infant (my Mom did both and said it was a nightmare).

We bought a co-op first. I told DH before we got married in April that we had to have a place to keep the baby before actually having the baby. We didn't want our living situation to be up in the air with an apartment (having the house sold, rent increases, etc.).

We bought the house first... We are not planning on starting our family until next year so in the mean time we are furnishing our CRIB!! Yes... Its nice to have the house becuase you can pick and choose what room is for the baby, office, visitors, etc..
