Our babies came first. Like my mother said Kids don't care what size area they have to play so long as they can play. We are planning on looking in September. When the baby is 3 mos and a no longer an infant.

Re: What came first, the baby or the house?
We got married 04/09 and bought our home in July 09. We currently have a 3 bedroom home, (one step daughter that is here for visits) - but we have another room upstairs that we are turning into an another bedroom - so 4 bedroom house. We feel that we could have kids and live comfortably in this house for quite some time. Whether we end up being able to conceive or not, this may be our home forever. We are in a good school district and have family close

Re: What came first, the baby or the house?
The house then the baby however, I wish it was the other way around. I wish we waited on the house until the market turned around so houses were more affordable. I also wouldn't have spent as much on a house as we did a few years ago in hindsight. I wasn't thinking ahead and planning for a baby at that time. I wish I did because it would be much easier on us financially with me being home with my DD if we didn't have such a huge mortgage.
