Last pregnancy I was told, no dying until the 2nd trimester.
I'd hold off on the dying. I know roots stink... I got em too... but I'm holding off.
On a side note... at least roots are in style these days!!

yup flying is okay but make sure you stay VERY hydrated. . drink water before, during, and after the flight and you should be fine. .
and CONGRATS!
I agree with the PP to hold of on hair dye. . people have mixed opinions about it but I say better safe than sorry until you can ask your doc. .

I should've mentioned it's not dye. It's a glaze. it has no peroxide. It shampoos out. It's not permanent but I'm sure I still should play it safe anyhow.

I had a wedding in CA right after my BFP too. My doctor also said that every two hours whether it is a plane ride or a car ride, I need to get up and walk around...just walking to the bathroom and back is fine (which will not be a problem to do every 2 hours with all the water!). You want to move around so that you do not get a blood clot.
ETA: HAVE FUN!!!!

My Dr says PERFECTLY fine.
Call him if you want to double check.. esp the glaze that is not a big deal! I work in the industry.

Re: What can/can't I do in first Trimester in terms of hair coloring/hightlighting and flying
i do hair and we do pregs in first tri all the time...some wait till second cause their doc says so...but.... where is the proof? personally i think sitting in traffic behind a bus or sitting in a non ventilated nail salon is worse..but i digress.
highlights are always fine....single process..ask your doc if you are concerned..rinses/glazes definately fine :)
congrats!
