What can cause my 14 month old to be such a restless sleeper at night?
shes not sick, shes not teething... But lately she went from being this peacefu/stilll sleeper to tossing and turning....?

Milestones.
Does she walk? Is she learning new words? Is mastering any other new task?
I have noticed those things change DD's sleeping habits and sleep quality.

My guess is also milestones or even vivid dreams. Ava is a restless sleeper for part of the night, as well.

From what I have read, when they are approaching a milestone, they are practicing it over and over in their heads and sometimes those actions come out in real life actions.
I don't think it means she isn't getting a good night's sleep, she is just trying new things in her sleep
Rachel may be right about vivid dreams, too. Sabrina has had a few nightmares where she cried in her sleep and didn't wake up.
Does DD seem happy during the day?

DS is doing the EXACT same thing. He does it closer to the morning, 5am, 6am, and will end up w/his face lodged in the corner of the crib, and he seems to get stuck, b/c he can't roll back over since the walls of the crib are in the way. It is sooo frustrating.

Weeks before Jack was crawling - his sleeping was a nightmare. Now that he has it mastered he's much less restless.

thanks for posting this...because my 10 1/2 month old is sooo restless...i guess its true about milestones though...i remember when he learned to clap, he would wake up in the middle of the night clapping, or sometimes he would clap in his sleep...it was so cute
