What can I do? (Food related)
So I'd like to start cutting down how much we eat. Here's the problem, we do enjoy eating food and I feel that if I were to cut portion sizes down, it would force others, and maybe even myself, to want to snack later on in the evening feeling like I am still hungry and didn't eat enough.
I'm trying to think about what to make for dinner or what to add to dinner to still give it a fulfilling feeling without such huge portions. I know it's will power, but I would like to try to make the adjustment a little more gradual. Any advice?
Thanks!

Cut down on the starches on your plate and beef up the veggies so your plate is still full. Switch to the healthier starches...brown rice instead of white, sweet potato instead of white potato, etc. Also go for healthier proteins and have a side salad. If you want a snack, again go healthier...berries & yogurt or something like that.

I've always heard to drink a glass of water before you eat to help you eat less...I've never really tried it though Maybe start with something as simple as that?

I agree with adding veggies! Veggies will give you volume without all of the calories!

Other suggestions are great---also, if you add a soup (tomato, gazpacho) to meals, you will get full faster and stay full.
Also, at least for me, I don't do huge meals because I eat 5 smaller meals per day.
