What can I get my dad who is a big child
Need Christmas gift ideas for my dad who basically has what he wants. Has a switch and Xbox (he is not getting the new one yet) lot of other electronic crap. My mom is getting him the oculus 2 (this may not arrive in time so may end up being a birthday present) and some other expensive thing for his telescope.
When I ask him he tells me surprise him he likes gadgets
He also volunteers for a shelter and is obsessed with dogs especially his own
So any ideas for me lol

What kind of budget? 3d printer for $300-$1000. $200 if he really likes to tinker and build a printer kit.
3d printer pen for around $50
I currently have 2 3d printers, and just bought myself a 3d pen for myself for Christmas.... I mean Santa got it for me

Should have added a price. I really try to keep to around $150 I let my mom buy him the expensive stuff.
The kids already got him the call of duty game. That doesn’t count towards the $150 I spend.
3D pen huh which one. I think I was looking at those for my kids

This is the one that I have: https://www.amazon.com/MYNT3D-Professional-Printing-OLED-Display/dp/B01BLQ24IW/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=3d+printer+pen&qid=1607447650&sr=8-3
They have cheaper ones, either for kids, or for an entry-level pen, but I wanted to go a little higher on the scale. This one is $56

Does he have an Echo? How about a Ring doorbell? I got my husband a 3-D pen, he has three 3-D printers already.

I find it interesting that a lot of people that I know that have a 3d printer, have more than one....

He has Alexa already and doesn’t need the ring door bell my DH is in security so he is covered in that area.
I will look in to the 3-D pens. Thank you. The printer is most likely out of my budget lol

Re: What can I get my dad who is a big child
Lean into the dog thing? Custom artist painting of his dog...GC to restaurant like Refuge in Melville that does bring your dog to brunch...doggie dna kit (like ancestry or 23andme but for dogs)...doggie day spa package. There are dog agility places on LI if he’s got a dog that might want to try that. It’s also really fun for dog lovers to go to the Westminster Kennel Club show in Feb, it’s not crowded during the daytime judging and you can roam backstage seeing all the breeds, watching the grooming, petting dogs that aren’t competing —obviously that’s probably not happening with coronavirus but hey, idea for next year’s gift.

I love the pet portrait idea- they have funny ones where they dress your pup up as a general or something... sounds like something he might get a kick out of.
Also, if his dog is a mutt, the dog DNA kit.
