Re: What can I make with ground turkey?
i have an easy and yummy (and healthy) turkey lasagne recipe...
it's a ww recipe from the book "simply the best", it makes 8 servings and is 6 ww pts per serving if you're not doing ww, feel free to use full fat ingredients
ingredients: 2 tsps olive oil 10 oz ground skinless turkey breast 1 onion, chopped 1 28oz can whole tomatoes (no salt added), coarsely chopped 1 6oz can tomato paste (no salt added) 1/4 cup grated paresan cheese 1 tsp dried basil 1 tsp dried oregano 1/2 tsp sugar 12 no-boil lasagna noodles 2 cups nonfat cottage cheese 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
directions: 1. preheat oven to 350 degrees F 2. in large non-stick sauce pan or dutch oven, heat oil. add turkey and onion, cook, stirring as needed, until turkey is browned and onion is softened, about 5 mins. 3.stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, parmasan cheese, basil, oregano and sugar, bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, until flavors are blended, about 5 mins 4. spool 1/3 of sauce into the bottom of a 13x9" baking pan, top w/ 3 noodles, spread w/ half of cottage cheese, and top w/ 3 more noodles. repeat the layering 1x more, ending with the sauce. sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly on top. 5. bake, covered, 1 hour, then uncover and bake until cooked through, about 10 mins more. let stand 10 mins before serving

Re: What can I make with ground turkey?
I am actually eating my meatloaf that I made with ground turkey and it is SO good
here is the recipe 1 ½ lbs lean ground beef 1 cup Bread crumbs 1 cup tomato sauce or left over spaghetti sauce 1 egg, beaten ½ cup white onion, finely choppedr Salt Pepper ½ cup barbecue sauce 2 tablespoons brown sugar
1. In a large bowl combine beef, stuffing, tomato sauce, egg, onion,, salt and pepper. 2. With hands, blend mixture well and form into a firm loaf 3. Place in center of greased baking dish 4. Bake in preheated 350 degree over for 30 minutes 5. Meanwhile, combine BBQ sauce, brown sugar and nutmeg. Stir well. 6. Pour mixture on the top of meatloaf 7. continue baking meatloaf for an additional 30 minutes 8. Remove from over and let sit for 10-15 minutes
-----------------------------------------------
We've also made Hamburger Helper with it and tacos.
Idon't love any Italian dishes with turkey meatballs, IMO, it tastes funny
