vin's pretty good about doing anything i need him to do whenever i'm too busy or bogged down to do so myself. if i have had a busy week or a bad day and i need things done he'll do pretty much anything - except clean the toilets/bathroom - he has only cleaned the toilet once and that wasn't really what i would consider a full cleaning job lol and he did the shower doors and such once but only because i said how he never does it and how i don't think he is capable lol lol! but he did and he did it pretty well - but since he really doesn't like it i never make him do that - i clean the bathroom, always, top to bottom but he will dust our bedroom, make the bed, do laundry, etc whenever i need him to. he doesn't, of course, do it as "perfect" as i do it myself hahaa but it's pretty good and when it has been a long week or i'm in a pinch he is a REAL lifesaver!

but things that he regularly does: always clears the plates after i make dinner and rinses them and puts them in the dishwasher - always! and he always puts the clothes away if i wash/fold them - he is great about that.

ETA: and of course, he takes out the garbage and cleans up after all of charlotte's poopies in the yard

he'll never clean the bathroom....ever.

neither will mine, and hes def the one thats making it dirty...I love how he has perfect aim with his video games but he cant seem to get all the pee in the toilet

I have to be honest...he doesn't clean the way I clean. So I don't mind CLEANING. I find it cathartic and love seeing something go from dirty to clean and it's not THAT bad. What gets to me is that he doesn't pick up after himself. He doesn't see the stuff that trails behind him.

We don't really 'divide' the chores per say. It's not like "this is my job and this is yours' BUT there are things that we each kind of do by rote.
Rob empties and takes out the garbage, vacuums anything that needs to be vacuumed, straightens up (picks up crap that is left on the floor by our kids - clothes, backpacks, random toys). He also does most of his own laundry and has recently started doing some of the kids laundry and the linens. He also mows the lawn and trims the hedges. He usually takes the cars for oil change/servicing also.

Takes out the trash, cleans the kitty litter, cleans the tub and tile area, puts down the Combat discs (we live in an apt) and vacuums.

Hmm, since he works longer hours then me, he has minimal chores to do just bc I get most of them done before he can.

He cleans the main bathroom, weedwacks, does the dishes, helps unpack the groceries & cleans the office out bi-weekly (since it is filled with MOSTLY his stuff).

He used to take out the garbage, vacuum and do the dishes. Now, he gets home after 9PM and there is no way I am waiting for him so I do all of that. He picks up after Brutus but sometimes I do that too.

I don't mind though!

my husband doens't know the word "chore"...

Once in awhile (or when he can't take me nagging him any longer) he'll take the garbage out, and change the kitty litter...he was doing laundry here and there - now he practically forgot where the laundry room is

DH does laundry, empiies the dishwasher, takes out the garbage, and fixes stuff around the house

Mops, laundry (on occassion) loads / unloads the dishwasher, takes out the trash, Walks & feeds the dog, makes the bed every morning

AND....

He actually cleans the toothpaste & hair off the sink after hes done shaving!!!

I've got a WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ETA: Hes a landscaper so my lawn always looks impeccable

garbage duty and all aspects of lawn maintenance are his chores!

I do most of the laundry...but he'll pitch in when my work schedule is hectic or I am doing OT.

I'll cook....he cleans up....and he'll BBQ.

He's a very neat and organized person... so keeping clean here is easy.

I do the vaccumming, dusting and bathroom cleaning.

No complaints! He's a great help!

DH is in charge of vacuuming and taking out the garbage, and he feeds the cat almost every morning - plus, now that i am PG he is stuck doing the litter. however, he will definitely pitch in if i let things go too long, such as washing the dishes, unloading the dishwasher, or cooking dinner. he is amazing and i am lazy

he still REFUSES to clean his bathroom though

We have some pretty defined roles, just because of what we prefer to do.

He takes care of the yard, car maintenance, washes the laundry, kittie litter pans, does BBQing, house repairs, garbage and recycling

I fold laundry, cook, do dishes, clean the floors

We are pretty 50/50 with the bathrooms

He loves going to Whole Foods and spends 3 hours each time he is there (and lots of unnecessary $$)!!

He also loves buying accessories for the house!!! Lives in Pottery Barn & Crate & Barrel!

Most of the time nothing.

He does his own laundry. He'll do the dishes if I ask (or beg).

Once in awhile he gets in a mood to get rid of clutter- he puts things in neat piles and MAYBE runs the vaccuum, then claims he "cleaned the house."

ETA: he does take the garbage downstairs (we live on the 2nd floor). But I have to put it outside the door and replace the bag.

We don't have "designated" chores. We both do whatever needs to be done.
