what color carpet?
im thinking probubly just a plain beige.... i would like green but it will butt up right next to another green carpet? will that look bad? Image Attachment(s):

the other carpet is a dark sage.... maybe a lighter color green
we were thinking purple but then in a few years it will be another babies room and what if it's a boy...

I'd do beige. It'll tone down the other colors, especially if the wall is a color and curtains, etc. Plus, you can change the room whenever and don't have to worry about changing the carpeting.

I agree. At a later date if you change the decor in the room it will be less likely you will have to change the carpet color.
