what color to paint the nursery?
So I received our bedding yesterday & now I have no clue what color to do. I do not want to do any type of blue bc DS#1 room is blue & the bedding is truly very blue. What do you recommend

I really like the yellow that is in the picture. Sage green would also look nice with that bedding.

I like yellow or cream too just because it's so cheerful yet soothing.
My SIL painted her son's room navy blue below the chair rail and red above it -- kinda with a sports car stripe across the middle. It just always seems really dark in there to me.
You have tons of options, though, with those colors! You could even do a light coffee brown to match the color of the boats if you wanted something more neutral.

I was originally thinking a Sage green but the green is no where close to that color. Yellow seems nice, I just don't know what shade!

Take a piece of the bedding with you to Home Depot or Lowes and just start comparing color swatches. Once you put the colors next to the bedding it becomes really obvious what matches and what doesn't. Good luck!

I vote for the pale yellow! This is what we did... our bedding has a lot of blue, brown and green in it so we didn't want it to be too matchy-matchy. The yellow we picked looks perfect next to the bedding. Plus, it's a very neutral color and doesn't necessarily have to be associated with a baby's room. i.e. if you move, or end up using the room for something else later...

I would pick up the reddish color off the sail of the boat and paint that on the bottom half and paint the top half a lighter shade of the brown in the bedding.

benjamin moore has this awesome color wheel thing that has EVERY color that they make. it's the best $20 you will ever spend. go get one, and compare colors in your bedspread, and see what you like!
