What color wood floors in my living/dining room?

The walls will be Nantucket Fog

The couch and dining set are below

The couch is going to the right of the room, the longer part under the window and the shortest on the back wall

The dining set is going in front of the window on the left



I don't know what shade of wood to do because of how dark the furniture is.

Please help!!

I would go with a natural finish...

I would go with a light finish, like oak or colonial maple, similar to the color that is under the dining room set in your picture above. For some reason, light floors look nice with dark furniture whereas light furniture may not look as good on dark floors.

You can pick up a Minwax color chart with the different stains to get a better idea.

I have dark & light furniture on a cherry wood laminate in my Family Room. I love my light/white furniture on my darker floors. Here are some pictures.







Here are some more pictures for some inspiration. Most of these pictures have light & dark furniture with different color hardwoods. You can place an area rug down to break up the colors if you want the darker floors with your dark furniture. HTH!
