What did you wear in the Hospital?

My MIL got me a "nightgown" for me to use in the hospital. I think it's a little faggy, but she swears that I will want it when I get there (especially for breastfeeding).
I REALLY don't think I will wear it - I will be so much more comfortable in a t-shirt and sweats.
What did you gals wear in the hospital and what do they let you wear?

I wore a t-shirt and pj pants and I found that very comfortable for breast feeding.

T shirts and yoga pants. i was much more comfortable walking around in them.

I felt more comfortable in pants. I was bleeding ALOT and it just felt more comfy for me to have pants on. I didn't feel exposed.
I had a PJ set that I found in Motherhood that had pants, a tank and a little shrug.

Also- I suggest socks with rubber on the bottom (slipper socks) It was great for getting out of bed and not having to worry about finding slippers... cause getting out of bed was not that easy!

I wore PJ matching pant sets with button down the fronts for easy breastfeeding.....

You will bleed ALOT if you have a vaginal birth!
The first day I wore a hospital gown
The second day I wore 2 pajamas set with a tank because I was Bf'ing. Also wear dark color pajamas in case you bleed through the pad like I did!

I bought comfy baggy pants and Old Navy and wore those while at the hospital (best purchase ever - cause they were so comfy!!) and I wore tank tops with the pants.

I didnt want to be in PJ's all day since I knew I would have many visitors..so I went to Gap Body and got some items from the loungewear section
yoga style pants, tank's and t's.

I highly rec these t's..so soft

black yoga pants and a comfy t shirt that made it easy to nurse.

I also had a maternity/nursing nightgown and it never left the bag. I delivered in the afternoon and the next morning I was able to shower. I changed right into a cotton sweatsuit and tank. And that's pretty much what I've worn every day since.

I wore shelf bra tank tops from Old Navy and yoga pants or PJ pants. I had a c-section and everyone told me you dont' want to wear pants, but I was fine. I bought nightgowns, but I never wore them.

I had a C-Section and wore sweat pants and a t-shirt when I was able to get dressed which was the next morning.

Honestly..

My mom was the same. She kept buying me nightgowns while I detested them! I said over and over how I would never wear a nightgown..but guess what, she was right. I think for me it was more because I had a c section. I was in so much pain the first 2 days and when whoever would come to check me, it was so much easier just to lift the gown up. Also, I couldnt imagine anything around my waist, close to my incision right after the surgery. To be honest, the most comfortable thing for me the first day was the hospital gown. Once I started moving around a bit more, I put comfy pjs on but for the first day or 2, especially if you have a c, a nightgown is better..IMO

i wore a hospital gown @ night (easier to bf) and tshirts and pants during the day!

I wore a cute nightgown that had a nursing bra built in. And a matching robe.

I had a nursing top & comfy bottoms. I did wear the hospital gown the first night but once I was able to shower, I changed.

Don't wear anything you are in love with because chances are, they are going to get stained.

With both my deliveries, I threw out my hospital outfits right there in the hospital.

They just get so nasty, I couldn't imagine washing them and wearing again!

honestly, I was in so much pain I wore the hospital gown the entire time along with my robe when visitors came.

I wore the hospital nightgown and my own socks. It was gross the amount of blood/fluids coming out the 1st night/day, I went through 2 gowns a day. No way would i bring my own stuff. With this pg, i am doing the same thing.

I didn't even wear my slippers that much. I threw the socks out before i went home

The first day I just wore the hospital gown, but the second day I wore a nightgown. The nurse who taught my childbirth class recommended it because when you're in bed you can just pull the bottom of the nightgown up around you waist and then you don't have to worry about anything leaking onto your clothes. If you plan to BF try to find a nightgown that has some buttons on top so you can just open it up to BF instead of pulling the whole nightgown up.

The first night I slept in the hospital gown, since it was the middle of the night when I had her.

The next day I showered and put on a tank top and yoga pants. When I got chilly, I threw on a tshirt or robe over the tank. It was fine for breastfeeding and vistors.

There was no way I'd be comfortable in a nightgown. And I can only imagine it'd be riding up all the time you're laying in bed.

gave birth in the late morning. The rest of that day/night I wore hospital gowns since I wasn't able to shower and I was bleeing a lot (didn't want to mess up my own clothes!)

next day I was able to shower, so I wore a tee shirt and yoga type pants durig the day, changed into pajamas that night to sleep in..
