Re: what do i need to know about sun/sunscreen?
Personally, I wouldn't go for the majority of the day. It's so easy for us to become dehydrated sitting on our butt in the AC doing nothing. If you do go keep hydrated. Drink MUCH more then you normally would.
Remember, you can regulate your body temp. by sweating, the baby cannot. If you can, I'd also bring along an umbrella to get out of the sun here and there.
Oh, if you're having any skin reactions to pregnancy the sun is only going to make it more visible.

I personally wouldn't be in the sun for long periods of time. But you can definitely go to the beach just make sure you have an umbrella so that you can go inside whenever you are starting to feel hot. Babies can't regulate temperature in the womb and it is important for your body to stay cool enough and also hydrated

It's safe but the hcg in your body makes you WAYY more sensitive to the sun's rays. I would not lay out for a very long time as you are much more likely to burn, even in shade with sunscreen. Also, drink a ton of water to avoid dehydration.

Use a way higher SPF than you normally would. Like if you usually use 6, use 30. Also spend some time in the shade and stay very hydrated.

EXACTLY what I was going to say!!! When I went to Costa Rica for our babymoon that is what the doctor told me. Staying hydrated was HUGE!!! I got so hot so fast I almost never got out of the pool. And DEF up the SPF, apparently our skin is a little more sensitive while pregnant and you DEF want to protect your beautiful skin.
