I know sun is bad for your skin, but when you have acne-prone skin......
do you ever notice how GREAT your skin is after being in the sun? and maybe getting a bit of a burn?
just another thing to add to the list of things that aren't good for you, but should be.

Yep its because it dries out yous kin...but then your skin tries to compensate for the dryness and gets oily producing MORE blemishes!
Its a neverending cycle!
I do love the sun though...A LOT!

I'm with ya. Its the only thing that clears up my skin! And my skin doesn't get nasty until my tan is totally gone!

Yes!! It is so bad but my skin looks soo good and healthy afterwards!! I have gotten a little sun in the past two weeks and I feel so much better already!

YES!!! I have always though that! Before I discovered Murad and had pretty bad acne flare ups I always wondered why everyone said that sun is bad for your skin! My skin would look amazing after a little sun exposure!

Yes completely!! I really try to wear SPF 30 when out. I know the sun is bad for me, but there is nothing like a little tan to make the skin look better.

Yes! My skin always clears up for a while after being in the sun. As bad as it is...I still do it when my face gets really broken out.

I remember when I was 20 for whatever reason I started having really bad back acne, it just would not go away no matter what I tried . My dermatologist also tried few things and nothing helped, so finally he told me to get some sun. he said just few minutes a day, no sun screen no nothing, just 2-3 min a day every day for about 5 days. I swear the acne was gone within few day and never came back. But of course he warned me not to do it more than he told me and not to EVER do this again and to always use sunscreen.....

This is maybe TMI, but my back was horribly broken out, and I finally had enough and went tanning in a bed and my skin is all cleared up.
It works wonders!

completely agree... and while i am fully aware of how bad it is for me, i hit up the tanning salon when/if my skin gets particularly bad. nothing helps a break-out the way "sun" does.

It might help temporarily - but I know that it makes me acne SCARS darker and more visible - so be careful if you scar easily (which is often true for people with olive skin tones)

Thank you, you just explained something I was trying to figure out. My skin is suddenly so much clearer than usual and I look 5 or so years younger. Yes it is damaging, I wear SPF 30 all the time but I'll take a week like this whenever I can get it. I'm 38 and STILL have issues with acne.
