What do we do when Mommy doesn't feel good?
For the past few days we've all been battling some sort of cold in our house. I thought I was getting over it, but this morning I woke up VERY shaky, cold sweat, then hot... I already threw up once (sorry TMI) and I feel very weak. Almost too weak to even pick her up I'm so shaky.
What do you do when you're the only one home to take care of the baby feeling like this?
Thank god she just went down for a nap. I don't think I can take anything since I'm EBF.
Ugh, I hate feeling so ill

I hope that you are not getting the flu
Is there anyone (grandparent or friend) that you can drop DD off with for the day so you can try to rest and get better?

oh no!!! Maybe you should try to rest right now while she is napping.. Is there any chance someone could watch her for a little while and maybe you could go to the dr. or just rest???
I hope you feel better

BTDT...Sorry you don't feel good!
Honestly I've always had to just suck it up...It's horrible when you don't have anyone to help.
The worst is when you and the baby are both sick at the same time and DH has to go to work.
Take advantage of when the baby is sleeping and get some rest.
Feel better!

This is what I thought but I've never had it so I'm not sure what to look for. I'm panicking because DD hasn't gotten her flu shot yet. I don't want her getting sick too!
No one's around today either. My parents went away for the weekend.

Not to scare you - I am sure that everyone has somewhat of a different reaction but when I had the flu I had many of the same symptoms you are describing. I thought I had a cold but when I fainted and was taken to the doctor (college) they said it was the flu. I body temp was super high but I was freezing...then came the chills...ughh. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. You should go to a doctor to see what you can take to help while you nurse.
In the meanwhile...if no one can help with Bella just try to separate yourself from her as much as possible...I would even go as far as to wear a scarf over my mouth while nursing. Definitely keep your hands clean (which I know you already do).

This is what I was afraid of I completely felt like I was going to pass out this morning and I've been FREEZING... yet I was also sweating at the same time I am staying away from her while I can... she's excersaucing right now.

Oh no Chelle Drink lots of fluids, rest whenever possible, and see if you can get into a doctor when your DH comes home so that he can watch her and you can get some medication.
When I had the flu I had waited too long and they couldn't give me anything but told me to take an OTC Tylenol cold & flu...it just had to run it's course. So worst case you can do that. Keep nursing Bella because she will get the antibodies your body is working hard to produce. Just stay hydrated.

Re: What do we do when Mommy doesn't feel good?
Do you have any friends close by who could come stay with you for a bit? I would also call you Dr. or the pharmacist and see what you can take. There has to be something over the counter that will atleast make you feel better.

Re: What do we do when Mommy doesn't feel good?
First off, I hope you feel better quickly!!!
In answer to your question though, I just suck it up and suffer I was sick with a terrible cold last week and D hd to work...I was miserable. I cried. I felt like I couldnt take care of DD very well. I just put her in front of the TV and laid down on the couch to rest,

Re: What do we do when Mommy doesn't feel good?
We had the same thing in our house and at my moms house. Next will come diareah (sorry ).
When daddy and baby get sick, the world stops. And you have to tend to every need.
When mommy gets sick, you're just lucky it's not as bad as daddy had it
Sorry to tell you, it's business as usual
